ABC’s Of Bourbon: D-Distilled
The fourth standard has to do with distillation. Distillation is the
evaporation and subsequent condensation of a liquid. In other words, it’s when impurities are removed from the liquid. The law states that it must be distilled at no more than 160 proof(80% abv). Short and sweet.
A – American Made
B – Barrels
C – Corn
D – Distilled
E – Entered
F – Filled
G- No Additives
